Crime Numbers
Annual crime reports published by the Arizona Department of Public Safety provides crime data for all the counties in the state. The 2017 report shows that property crimes represented 89.5% of the total crime index (7,271) in Mohave County, with 1,620 burglaries, 4,355 larcenies, and 539 motor vehicle thefts recorded. According to the report, there were 8 murders, 59 rapes, 75 robberies, 561 aggravated assaults, and 54 arsons in 2017.
A five-year (2013 – 2017) comparative analysis of crime data shows that murder (8%), rape (59%), robbery (75%), and aggravated assault (79.2%) rates went up. During the period, motor vehicle theft rate also increased by 36.1% and arson rate grew by 14.9%. On the other hand, burglary and larceny-theft rates dropped by 11.6% and 3.2% respectively.

The Records Unit of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office provides copies of local criminal history reports for residents of Mohave County. The Mohave County Clerk of Superior Court’s Office keeps court records and makes copies available on request. Court records and documents can be accessed from the Superior Court e-access Portal. Requesters must register and then log in to this portal to gain access to county court records.

Vital Records
Divorce decrees for Mohave County are available at the Mohave County Clerk of Superior Court’s Office. To request copies of these vital records, follow the same procedures described above for obtaining court records

The Mohave County Department of Public Health processes requests for birth and death certificates. To request copies of any of the certificates, start by completing a Request for Birth Certificate or a Request for Death Certificate. Each certified copy of the vital records costs $20, while an amended copy costs $30. Debit cards, credit cards, cashier’s checks, money orders, and cash are accepted for payment. Photocopy of a government photo identification and proof of relationship (where required) must be submitted along with the request form.
