Criminal Records

The Criminal History Records Section of the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) allows individuals to request their own criminal history records. The accepted purpose of this background check is to review your criminal record for accuracy and completeness. Start by requesting a Record Review Packet from the Criminal History Records Section by calling 602-223-2222. This packet contains a blank fingerprint card, contact information and instructions, and a pre-addressed return envelope. Alternatively, you can download the instructions, fingerprint card, and contact information sheet on the DPS website.

Print the fingerprint card and take it to the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office for fingerprinting. The Records Unit of the Sheriff’s Office offers this service. Its address is 31 N. Pinal Street, Florence, Arizona. Fingerprinting is available from Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. It costs $5.

Complete the fingerprint card with identifying details after having your fingerprints rolled onto it. Write RECORD REVIEW in the space allocated for the reason for fingerprinting. Mail the fingerprint card and a completed contact information sheet to:
